ABOUT US
The Hollywood Writers Group was founded in 2024 by Andy Walraven with a single purpose in mind — to bring creative artists together.
We are a place where writers come to share their process, find inspiration, and surround ourselves with other industry professionals.
Every two weeks, over 150 members — screenwriters, authors, showrunners, producers, actors, and playwrights, with some members having garnered Academy Award nominations, and multiple Emmy awards — gather together to share their process, trade notes, and talk honestly about issues facing the industry today.
Supportive and motivational. Just real conversation with people who share an interest in creative writing and the art of filmmaking.
Our conversations, in the form of resources and quick sheets are publicly available in support of creative artists from all walks of life.
Membership is by invitation-only, and meetings take place in the heart of Hollywood at a private venue with fine dining, bar service, and spaces built for connection — including a screening room, cabaret, and lounge.
We aren’t just a networking event. We are a community.
